Referral Program

Earn bonus days by inviting others to Legitski. When someone signs up using your referral link and upgrades to a paid plan, you both receive extra days on your subscription.

How It Works

The referral program rewards both you and the person you refer. Here is how the process works from start to finish.

  1. Share your unique referral code or link with a friend.
  2. Your friend registers for a Legitski account using your link. The referral status is now Pending.
  3. Your friend upgrades to a paid plan (Pro or Business).
  4. Both you and your friend earn +7 bonus days on your subscriptions.

Automatic code generation

Every user gets a unique referral code automatically. You do not need to request one or opt in to the program.

Your Referral Code

Your referral code is an 8-character alphanumeric string that uniquely identifies you. You can find it in two places.

The Referral Settings page displays your code along with copy buttons for both the raw code and the full referral link. This is the best place to grab your link when you want to share it.

The Dashboard widget also shows your referral code with a quick copy button, so you can share it without navigating away from the main screen.

Sharing the link vs. the code

We recommend sharing the full referral link rather than just the code. When someone opens the link, the code is captured automatically during registration. The link format is: yourdomain.com/register?ref=YOUR_CODE

Referral Statuses

Each referral has a status that tells you where it is in the process.

  • Pending -- Your friend has registered but has not yet upgraded to a paid plan.
  • Completed -- Your friend has upgraded and both parties have earned their bonus days.

The Referral History table on the Referral Settings page lists every person you have referred along with their current status and the date the referral was created.

Status badge colors

Yellow badges indicate a pending referral, and green badges indicate a completed referral.

Bonus Days

Bonus days are extra days of paid-plan access earned through successful referrals. They appear on your subscription page and affect your billing schedule.

Each completed referral earns +7 bonus days for both the referrer and the referred user. Your total bonus days are displayed as a badge on the Subscription page.

Bonus days delay your next payment date. For example, if your next billing date is March 1 and you have 7 bonus days, the charge moves to March 8 instead.

Bonus days still apply when you cancel your subscription. Your access continues for the remaining subscription period plus any accumulated bonus days before the plan reverts to Free.

Bonus days are cumulative

There is no cap on bonus days. Three completed referrals give you 21 extra days, five give you 35, and so on.

Referral Stats

The Referral Settings page shows four statistics that summarize your referral activity.

  • Total Referrals -- The total number of people who have signed up using your code.
  • Completed -- The number of referrals that have upgraded to a paid plan.
  • Pending -- The number of referrals still waiting to upgrade.
  • Bonus Days -- The total bonus days you have earned from completed referrals.

Common questions about the referral program.

Can I use my own referral code?

No. Self-referrals are blocked. You cannot register a new account using your own referral code.

What if my friend never upgrades?

The referral stays in a pending state indefinitely. There is no expiration date on pending referrals.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?

No. There is no limit on the number of referrals you can make.

Can I apply a referral code after registration?

No. The referral code must be captured during registration via the referral link. It cannot be applied retroactively.

Do bonus days expire?

No. Bonus days never expire and remain on your account until they are used.

Which business gets the referrer's bonus days?

Bonus days are applied to the most recently joined business where you are the Owner.
