Action Types

Each log entry is tagged with one of four action types. The badge color and icon make it easy to identify the type of change at a glance.

Automatic logging

Log entries are created automatically by the system. You do not need to manually log changes. Every create, update, delete, and schema change is captured with the user, timestamp, and full details.

Log Entry List

Log entries are displayed in reverse chronological order, grouped by date. Each entry shows the action type, item name, user, and relative timestamp.

Click on any log entry to expand it and see the full change details, including a field-by-field diff for updates.

Filtering and Search

Use the filter panel to narrow down log entries by action type, user, date range, or free-text search. Active filters are shown as removable chips below the panel.

The search field matches against item names and user names. The action dropdown filters by type (Created, Updated, Deleted, Schema Changed). The user dropdown shows all team members who have made changes. Date fields constrain the time range.

Change Details

When you expand an update entry, a diff view shows exactly what changed. Each modified field displays the old value (struck through in red) and the new value (highlighted in green).

The diff view uses the column display name (not the internal ID) so changes are easy to understand. For create and delete actions, a full snapshot of the item's data is shown instead of a diff.

Undo Changes

Most log entries can be undone. The undo button reverts the item to its state before the change was made.

Not all changes are undoable

Schema updates and very old entries may not be undoable. The undo button only appears on entries that can be safely reverted.

Undo Conflicts

If the item has been modified since the log entry, undoing may cause a conflict. A resolution dialog shows the conflicting fields and lets you choose how to proceed.

Review before proceeding

The conflict dialog shows exactly which fields will be affected. Review each field carefully before choosing to undo anyway. Cancelling preserves the current state.

Pagination and Retention

Log entries are paginated to keep the interface fast. The number of pages depends on your activity volume and subscription tier.
